Many more couples are taking out pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements. They can help to set out the circumstances of ‘what if’ situations and can be difficult for some parties to deal with. However, once agreed they offer clarity if things go wrong.

Due to the popularity of these kinds of agreements with celebrities and the super rich – and their ability to push the system to its limits – there is some unclear law surrounding pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements.
